It starts with a conversation, not a drawing.

Most people arrive with a feeling rather than a design — an occasion, an inherited stone, a piece they once saw. Our job is to turn that into something specific, and to be honest with you about what will and will not work.
There is no obligation at any stage until you approve the final design. Nothing is made until you do.

An unhurried conversation, in the studio or by video. We listen more than we suggest.

Stone Discovery

We source a shortlist to your brief and show you the real stones side by side, in daylight.

Design and Refinement

Hand sketches first, then technical drawings. We revise until it is right, not until you are tired.

Crafted for You

Made by one goldsmith from start to finish, so the piece has a single hand behind it.

How long does a commission take?
Typically eight to twelve weeks from the first consultation to the finished piece. Sourcing an unusual stone, or a design with significant hand engraving, can extend that. If you are working to a date, tell us at the first conversation and we will be honest about whether it is achievable.
A commission is not automatically more expensive than a collection piece. Most of the cost sits in the stone, so the design work adds less than people expect. We will give you a written range before any work begins, and we do not proceed until you have approved it. [Typical ranges to be confirmed by the client.]
Yes, and it is one of the things we most enjoy. We will assess the stone first and tell you honestly what condition it is in and what it can support. If a stone cannot safely be reset we will say so rather than take the risk.
No. Most people arrive with an occasion and a feeling rather than a design. Bringing images of pieces you like — including ones you dislike — is more useful than a specification.
Not at all. The consultation, the stone shortlist and the initial sketches carry no obligation. Nothing is made and nothing is charged until you approve the final design.
